Alumni Events
The alumni association develops and hosts several special events at camp each year. Events focus on maintaining camp traditions, keeping alumni connected and providing opportunities for alumni and their families to enjoy all that camp has to offer.

Corn Roast
The most traditional alumni event, dating back to the summer of 1944, is the Lewis Fox Annual Corn Roast held every August. Corn Roast is a wonderful opportunity to reconnect with the people and the place that influenced your life in so many positive ways. Corn Roast is an afternoon event, that includes family activities, generational gatherings and of course, delicious corn roasted over the fire! There is no fee for the event. Corn Roast is being held on Saturday, August 14, 2010, from 1-9pm. Join us!

Distinguished Alumni Service Award
During the Corn Roast event, an alumni member(s) is recognized for their distinguished service and commitment to Camp Jewell . To nominate an alumni member for this award, please contact Jami Silver at jamisilver@hotmail.com.

Alumni Winterfest
Often, many alumni are surprised to hear that Camp Jewell is a year-round operation that serves over 20,000 guests annually. The winter season is one of our busiest times of year! To accommodate our winter programs, camp offers several fun activities for families and friends to enjoy together.

As an Alumni Association Member, you and your family are invited to an exclusive day at camp that features snow tubing, snow shoeing, ice skating, cross country skiing and several indoor activities such as archery, bb’s and arts crafts. This year’s Winterfest is being held on Sunday, February 28 , 2010, from 11am to 4pm . Lunch and hot chocolate is included! There is no fee for this event and pre-registration is not necessary.

Alumni Association Management
The Camp Jewell Alumni Association is managed by a dedicated volunteer board of directors comprised of members that span several generations of Camp Jewell campers and staff. The board meets regularly to discuss and create opportunities for alumni outreach, involvement and program participation.
