We Build Strong Families
Family Camp provides a great experience for everyone in your family! Parents get the benefit of their family staying in a safe, wholesome environment, surrounded by caring staff members and plenty of fun activities. Children enjoy participation in challenging activities and games, while having fun with their parents. Everyone gets to make new friends! With Camp Jewell staff hosting, organizing, and facilitating the weekend, the only thing left to worry about is what fun activity to do next!

Our goal is for your family to share a unique camp experience that will:
  • Strengthen bonds and relationships between all members of your family
  • Improve communication skills
  • Challenge you and your family to try something exciting and new
  • Slow down the pace of everyday life and live simply for a few days in each others company
  • Enable all in your family to have fun!
Activities
Special activities include:
  • Pumpkin Carving
  • Wiffle Ball Tournament
  • Apple Pie Baking
  • Square Dancing
  • Cardboard Boat Regatta
  • Family Teambuilding on our initiatives course
  • Ice Cream Social
Activities at Family Camp include archery, arts & crafts, climbing, candle-making, hiking, general sports, fishing, and seasonal activities such as snow-tubing, cross country skiing, ice skating, swimming, kayaking, and boating, just to name a few! Family campers also enjoy both our low and high ropes courses and horseback riding (seasonal).  See pictures!

Halloween Harvest Festival Family Weekend will feature the opportunity to spend time as a family helping camp create a wild and crazy trick or treat destination for our Halloween Harvest Festival.  Friday night will include an evening of climbing, crafts and fun!  Saturday morning is spent enjoying our fall program areas such as boating, archery, apple pie making, candle dipping, and the climbing towers.  Saturday afternoon will be spent decorating your cabin for trick or treaters.  The Harvest Festival starts at 4pm, families share time manning their cabins and enjoying all the holiday festivities we have to offer.  At the end of the evening the camp staff arrive to help clean up each cabin display.  Sunday morning will be spent once again enjoying our various program offerings as a family.

Accommodations, Rates & Meals
We try to make Family Camp as affordable as possible. We charge a flat rate for each of our cabins which provides you with the opportunity to share a cabin with another family, thus splitting the cost. The cabin rate includes all meals, activities, and entertainment. Delicious meals are served “banquet” style in our dining hall, and coffee and tea are available at all times. Weekends begin at 6pm on the first night and end after lunch on the last day.

Enjoy the company of additional friends and family and save money, too!  During Family Camp we charge a flat rate for each of our cabins. Whether you reside with 4 or 12 people, it is still the same rate! Families may also choose to reside in our Seniors Cabin, a large hostel style bunk house for all ages.
